Dawn

The drive across the station at dawn to the Gouldian site in the hills reveals much of the natural bushland and wildlife in the area. At this time of day lots of wildlife is out and about and some of the station animals will be seen as well. This is the time of day to see some of the macropod species and other large mammals.

The hill country is home to several species of macropods - the Antilopine Wallaroo, Euro, Agile Wallaby, and the Nail-tail Wallaby are moving around on the floodplains, river corridors, woodlands and up in the hills. Dingoes are sometimes seen early in the day as well.  Many different bird species are also in these habitats such as Australian or Kori Bustards.

Station cattle and often some water buffalo and pigs are seen on these drives.
